Downpatrick is one of Ireland's most ancient and historic towns. Saint Patrick was reputedly buried here in 461 on Cathedral Hill, within the grounds of Down Cathedral. It is approximately 21 Miles from Belfast and has a regular bus service. Downpatrick is home to Down County Museum, Down Cathedral and adjacent to the final resting place of Saint Patrick.

There has been a lot of regeneration in Downpatrick and it has since welcomed many investment opportunities in the area. Many large retail chains have built stores eg. Safeway, Boots and Asda.
